Y a-t-il un germanophone ou un anglophone pour répondre à Moritz ?

Bonjour, Hello & Hallo from Magdeburg in Germany,
we are a small association providing FLOSS services to the public and find
ourselves to fit quite well within the Chatons Charta. But we have noticed
that basically all Chatons are from French-speaking regions and mostly
communicating in French, so we were wondering what the goals are here in the
future to maybe expand the initiative further.
There is a reference to libreho.st in some places, but we can’t find any
information on who is behind that initiative or whether they have a similar
charta, and the last activity in the forum is from last year; it seems like
it’s dying out.
Is the current stance at Chatons still that it is only focused on the
French-speaking world, or would you be open to accept e.g. translation
contributions & possibly other English or German speaking members? Or do you
know of any similar initiatives that could be a better fit for us?

Je suis ok pour répondre, mais difficile d’engager le collectif sur ces questions !

Qu’on est pas contre que des organisations dont le français n’est pas la langue usuelle nous rejoigne.
Qu’on est intéressé·es par des traductions de nos supports.
Que par contre tous nos échanges sont en français, notamment sur le forum, et au camp, et qu’il le resteront sûrement. Que s’exprimer en anglais n’est pas à la portée de tout le monde au sein du collectif.
Qu’on pense que ce serait surtout génial qu’un collectif similaire aux CHATONS se monte en Allemagne, et qu’on aimerait faire notre possible pour aider sa mise en place !
En l’encourageant à contacter les autres hébergeurs alternatifs, transparents, ouverts, neutres et solidaires des pays germanophones, avec une mailing-list ou un discourse à l’appui par exemple

My answer has not yet been validated by other members of the collective, so here’s my personal opinion:
I’m not against being joined by organizations whom first language is not French.
I’m interested in the translations of our texts (website, wiki, etc).
But all our exchanges are in French, on the forum (here), at the yearly Bar Camp. And it will most likely stay like that. Speaking English is not a skill everyone has in the collective, and I feel like not excluding french-only speakers is important for our yet 100% French-speaking collective.
What I would really love to see would be the creation of a collective like the CHATONS in Deutschland! I’d like us to do what can be done to help its inception.
I invite you to contact the other German-speaking Hosters that are Alternative, Transparent, Open, Neutral and Solidarity-minded. (And maybe to choose slightly different foundational words for your collective ^^)
Creating an online space for gathering would be useful (mailing-list, matrix space, discourse forum…)
En passant, on peut peut-être mentionner quelques autres initiatives similaires, bien que celles-ci n’aient pas été mises à jour depuis quelques années… À défaut d’un exemple actif, ça peut donner des pistes de contact vers des groupes non-francophones.

Et récemment un membre nous a rejoint pour travailler sur l’essaimage du modèle ARN en Suisse et Allemagne. Il a commencé à traduire notre site en Allemand Home | Alsace Réseau Neutre, Hébergeur et FAI associatif et présenté ARN aux journées GNU Linux du Vorarlberg devant un public germanophone Allemand-Autrichien-Suisse https://www.linuxday.at/
J’ai une petite vision des acteurs importants en Allemagne, je commencerais par toquer chez Themen | Digitalcourage (~ la quadrature du net) et https://netzpolitik.org/ pour savoir s’il existe un recensement des « CHATONS allemands ». Mais il faut savoir que les Allemands bricolent beaucoup moins que nous avec 3 bouts de ficelles, exemple, une micro-brasserie familiale brassera environ 100 fois plus de litres que chez nous. De même, quand ils lancent une initiative associative, ils cherchent tout de suite du financement et voient les choses en grand. Donc il faut s’attendre à des chatons beaucoup plus gros et professionnels. Mehrere Mitglieder von Alsace Réseau Neutre (ARN) sind zweisprachig, da sie in Deutschland mal gearbeitet haben.
Kürzlich ist ein neues Mitglied beigetreten, um an der Verbreitung des ARN-Modells in der Schweiz und in Deutschland zu arbeiten. Er hat angefangen, unsere Webseite ins Deutsche zu übersetzen Home | Alsace Réseau Neutre, Hébergeur et FAI associatif und ARN bei den GNU Linux-Tagen in Vorarlberg vor einem deutschsprachigen Publikum aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz vorgestellt https://www.linuxday.at/
Ich habe eine grobe Vorstellung von den wichtigen Akteuren in Deutschland und würde zunächst bei Themen | Digitalcourage (etwa laquadrature.net) und https://netzpolitik.org/ anfragen, ob es eine Liste der „deutschen CHATONS” gibt. Aus meiner Sicht muss man aber in Deutschland mit viel größeren und geschäftlicheren CHATONS rechnen als in Frankreich.
